About Us

We are Teun Termaat and René Otter, founders and owners of MM Numismatics B.V. From a young age, we have been fascinated by (old) coins, medals, and banknotes. We now have decades of experience and have built up a broad network within the Netherlands as well as abroad. As a result, MM Numismatics has become a leading company in the field of numismatics!

How it began

The fascination with coins began with finding an old coin in the garden. That moment ignited the spark to start collecting at an early age. Over the years, we came into contact with more and more coins, which led us to launch the webshop mooiemuntjes.nl in 2012. Thanks to our years of expertise and great dedication, Mooie Muntjes has grown into a household name in Dutch numismatics. Over time, there was growing demand from abroad. In 2016, we took the strategic step towards a new, more international identity. Mooie Muntjes has transitioned into MM Numismatics, where the MM naturally refers to Mooie Muntjes.

Our services

At MM Numismatics, you can count on expertise, discretion, and a personal approach. We offer the following services, among others:

Valuation and purchase: We understand the value of your collection, both financially and emotionally. We provide you with a professional and no-obligation valuation, and if you are considering selling, we will make you a market-appropriate offer;

• Auctions: Extraordinary coins or collections can be interesting (and fun) to have auctioned at a physical coin auction. We are happy to advise you on this and, if desired, take care of everything for you. We have a partnership with Karel de Geus Muntveilingen from Veldhoven, where two physical auctions have been organized annually since 1995. Auction 63 is already scheduled for the autumn of 2026!

• Search requests: Are you looking for that one missing piece that has been on your wish list for years? Thanks to our extensive international network of collectors and dealers, we search for you with pleasure and perseverance;

• Advice and guidance: Whether you are a novice collector or an experienced dealer, we are happy to share our knowledge and advise you on building, managing, or winding down your collection.
